In 2014, I decided to cross the ocean for the first time to go visit my brother in Quebec and my friend Florence in Toronto. Since I was not far from the United States, I took a bus from Toronto to New York and spent a few days there.

These were intense days, and I got to see the main attractions, like the Statue of Liberty, the MoMa and the Empire State Building! It was magical, but also very tiring, and I was glad to arrive in Washington.

I had met Anjali in Prague a few months before, and she told me to come to Washington. I was there only two days, but I really enjoyed this beautiful city and a slower pace.

Finally, I took a bus to get back to New York and hop on my flight back to London.
