Christmas In London
A lot of weird things happen in London during Christmas time. For example, have you ever seen a gathering of Santas? No? Well, stay with me and you will.

Tuscany had been my first trip in a foreign country with school, so I had already been to Florence, but I had never seen it during Winter.
I had never seen Christmas in Italy before. That year, I went to Verona to see the Christmas market, but also to get my Christmas Passport.
My friend left for other cities and I stayed in Varna to experience more of the Black Sea Coast, visiting Balchik, Kaliakra and Nessebar.
I discovered the Ghibli movies and fell in love with their poetry. So, of course, when I flew to Japan, I book a ticket to the Ghibli Museum.
On my last day in Mumbai, I followed the advice of my local friend and decided to do the slum tour in Dharavi. She said that it was an important part of the city’s life and that many skilled people work there and have stories to tell.
During my trip around the world, I spent a week at a friend in Merida. That gave me the opportunity to visit some of the wonders of Yucatán. I was quite disappointed by Chichen Itza, which has become some kind of Maya Disneyland. It’s full of tourists taking selfies and of souvenirs stands. I was shocked. It was a totally different feeling in the ancient Maya city of Uxmal.
I don’t know about you, but in most of my destinations, I find a happy place where I love hanging out. In Sydney, it’s the QVB, the Queen Victoria Building.
Last week, I ticked another destination on my wish list (probably the last one for 2020, given the Covid-19 situation…). I had heard about a desert in France. Not really a desert actually, only a massive sand dune.
