Most of you know that the 4th of July is Independence Day in America, but do you know that the 14th of July is France’s National Day? Every year, we celebrate the storming of the Bastille prison in 1789 and the start of the French Revolution.
In February, one of my friends told me there was a hike to Izourt Lake she had always wanted to do, but never could, and she asked me if I would go with her.
Two hours from Toulouse, there is a really cool hike to do. You start at the bottom of the mountain and hike to the top of the mountain to discover one or several lakes. The first lake you get to see is called Lac d’Oô because that’s the name of the village next to it.
Whenever I drive from Toulouse to Poitiers, to see my parents, I see a lot of signs indicating that are cool places to see. Actually, that’s partly why I decided to visit the Gouffre de Padirac. Another sign I see everytime I drive on that road is “Rocamadour”. In March, as I was going to Poitiers to celebrate my father and my brother’s birthdays, I decided to stop in Rocamadour.
