Gaillac’s Lantern Festival
As the new edition of the Lantern Festival arrives in Blagnac, in Toulouse, I have decided to tell you about the 2020 edition. Originally, the “Festival des lanternes” happened in Gaillac, where it was created in 2017.

As I was looking for places of interest in or near Montpellier, I saw a mention of the Salagou Lake. The colours seemed surreal, and that’s exactly the kind of adventure I was looking for.
In May 2015, I travelled to Malta. I don’t know exactly why, but I didn’t feel anything special for Malta. Valletta is beautiful, but felt very British and not as welcoming as I thought it would be. Gozo island is the one that touched my heart.
In October 2015, I went to Greece with one of my BFFs. We visited Athens and then, we flew to Santorini. This island is magical!
On August 14th, I hiked to see the Seven Rila Lakes. I had booked a day-trip from my hostel in Sofia. We were 8 people doing the trip.
Not far from Toulouse, there is a beautiful medieval city called Carcassonne. It is actually divided in two parts: the modern one and the medieval one.
My main destinations around Naples were Pompei and Mount Vesuvius, but I also wanted to see the Amalfi Coast. So, I booked a day trip.
“Vedi Napoli e muori” (See Naples and die). The poet Goethe loved Naples and thought that once you had seen it, you could die without regret.
In 2020, after the end of lockdown, I looked for cities to visit near Toulouse. Belcastel looked perfect: a castle and cute little streets.
