In February 2022, I booked an organized trip to Jordan. One week to discover a country I knew nothing about. Sure, I had seen photos of Petra. Maybe just one photo actually, because we always see the Treasury and not much more.

But Jordan is a fascinating country, with a very interesting History, and it has so much more to offer than just one tomb! (Yes, the Treasury is a tomb.) I loved discovering the ancient cities, the deserts and meeting Jordanians. They are truly very welcoming! And the food, oh my God, the food! So delicious! Best hummus ever!

I was in a small group, so we could really have a nice pace and fully enjoy our trip. In Jordan, we visited Amman, Jerash, the national park of Petra, the desert of Wadi Rum, Aqaba, and some other places that are smaller but that deserve all your attention.

I particularly liked the deserts. Petra is extraordinary and I think that it’s worth taking two days to hike and visit all the sites.
