teamlab Borderless’s Forest of Lamps

One day after landing in Tokyo last October, I had a busy day planned with my local friend. We had decided to visit the interactive exhibition of teamlab Borderless.

She had booked the tickets in advance, and that was an excellent idea, as it was fulled booked when we arrived.

teamlab Borderless: Step Into The Future

This exhibition is magical! Walls are covered with digital flowers that react to your touch. You can draw a fish and look at it swimming on the walls, you can have a tea in which a flower is blooming… And you can walk in a room filled with lamps and mirrors (for a very short time, but it’s worth it nonetheless).

I took photos with two different settings, so the colours vary. The red ones are actually the ones that look more like what we experienced.

Enjoy, But Make It Quick!

This is visually one of the most interesting parts of the exhibition, but the staff is also giving a very limited time in the room (as there are many people queuing), so the feeling is less relaxed than what I had imagined. I still enjoyed it very much, but some other works are more relaxing.

London Frenchy

My name is Coline, and I’m French. I come from a not so small, but not so big city in France, and I have lived in various countries and cities. I stayed for 3 years in London (UK), for 3 months in Vicenza, for 6 months in Reggio Emilia and for 6 months Bologna (Italy). I also spent 3 months in Bilbao and 4 months in Alicante (Spain). Right now, I’m back in France, near Lyon and I work as a web editor.
