A Giant Pillow Fight

As a child, you were probably involved in a few or even many pillow fights. Do you know that there is an official Pillow Fight Day on the first Saturday in April? That’s right, and on that very special day, pillow fights take place all around the world. Another possibility to free your inner child is pillow fight flash mobs. Yes, that’s also a thing.

Trafalgar Square’s Pillow Fight

In April 2014, I participated to a pillow fight in Trafalgar Square in London. It was great fun, I ad brought 2 pillows and 2 friends. There were a lot of people on the square and some of them were wearing ridiculous outfits such as Sponge Bob underwear. Some of them had big pillows, some small pillows, and some crazy people had brought couch cushions… I was very careful to stay away from them, as you can imagine. Some people were playing nice, while others were entering serious pillow battles.

Not Recommended For Sensitive People

I recommend the experience, it’s a lot of fun and doesn’t cost anything! Except maybe one or two pillows if you’re a fierce warrior… The only incovenient I can mention is that after it, my friends and I felt like we were kind of allergic to something. Maybe too much dust and feathers. But, I guess that would not be a problem today with the masks…

Free Your Inner Child!

There were so many feathers you could play with it like snow and do the angel! It’s an activity both for adults and children. At least for the pillow fight in London, because I haven’t tried it in another city. If I do, I’ll try to make another article about it. 😉 I’ll have to check if Toulouse is organizing such events.

In London, it was an event oragnized to collect money for charities. That means that not only it is fun, but it is also a very positive and useful event.

My name is Coline, and I’m French. I come from a not so small, but not so big city in France, and I have lived in various countries and cities. I stayed for 3 years in London (UK), for 3 months in Vicenza, for 6 months in Reggio Emilia and for 6 months Bologna (Italy). I also spent 3 months in Bilbao and 4 months in Alicante (Spain). Right now, I’m back in France, near Lyon and I work as a web editor.
