I see a lot of quotes saying that never settling is the best. Well, I disagree. I’ve had enough misadventures as a tenant to know that having a safe place is essential.

After making sure she didn’t feel guilty about the “nice” guy from the airport, I tried helping with the lost luggage. I told her that we should tell the hostel staff about it to ask their advice. It was probably not the first time that happened.
It was my last day in Edinburgh and I was sitting in the dining room of my hostel, having breakfast. A really good breakfast actually. Authentic orange juice, pastries and a coffee. The hostel was a bit expensive, but it was really cool and, for once, I liked not feeling poor by staying in a very basic hostel. Anyway, I was fully satisfied with my morning. Until she arrived.
While I was living in London, I visited many countries far far away from Kingsbury, where my house was. Scotland was just too near, I guess. I kept telling myself that I could go anytime. Just before going back to France, in August, I booked my stay in Edinburgh.
Last November, I took a bus from Toulouse to Barcelona. Amongst the most famous attractions in the city, there are obviously the Sagrada Familia and the park Guëll. But I didn’t just revisit memories, I also tried some new things. While doing my research, I read about the Palau de la música catalana and it looked incredible, so I booked my ticket.
As we are starting 2023, looking back, I realize that I have spent most of 2022 looking for a job. It’s weird how much time I spent working or worrying about work. So today, I wanted to talk about work, about money and about happiness.
