Guys, I finally made it!!! After failing three times to go to Liguria’s jewel, I got to realize my dream. The first time, my friends bailed on me, the second time, a storm flooded the paths and the third time, well, Covid happened. So this time, I wasn’t sure of anything and I didn’t get my hopes up.
Whenever I drive from Toulouse to Poitiers, to see my parents, I see a lot of signs indicating that are cool places to see. Actually, that’s partly why I decided to visit the Gouffre de Padirac. Another sign I see everytime I drive on that road is “Rocamadour”. In March, as I was going to Poitiers to celebrate my father and my brother’s birthdays, I decided to stop in Rocamadour.
More and more people are asking me “How do you know where to go? Where do you find inspiration?”. Honestly, I never had to really look for a destination, it feels like there are always more places I want to visit, it’s endless. However, as this question keeps popping up, I decided I would try to answer it. So, I tried to look into my process, a process I’m not even conscious of.
Let’s continue our trip around Iceland’s Golden Circle. Last time, we ended the road at Geysir. Today, I introduce you to Gullfoss, which is really a good start for a Golden Circle since it literally means Golden Falls!

If Tadoussac and Baie-Sainte-Catherine are well-known for whale watching, there are other places where you can observe them. For example, Iceland! You can book boat trips in Reykjavik or in Akureyri.
In 2014, my brother spent a few months in Quebec and I decided to take a plane to meet him there. Since Baie-Sainte-Catherine was not too far, he agreed to go watch the whales with me and I booked the trip.
In July 2011, I visited Carpi. I had read a story about a family setting up their GPS to go to Carpi instead of Capri and being disappointed.
From Malmö, I take a plane to Stockholm. From the airport, Arlanda Express and I am finally in Sweden’s capital. I leave my stuff in the hostel and walk to the Södermalm district.
